Accidentally disabled service while troubleshooting, now login fails


Brink, checking my notes I was incorrect about getting into safe mode I did not. So have not been in windows since we started. sorry

You can mount the System registry hive and enable the service you disabled offline, here's how you can mount and modify the registry offline.

I would do this to sort boot files. It's what I do when boot files get mangled.

1) On another pc, create a Macrium Rescue Drive.

2) boot from it

3) select "fix windows boot problems" and follow instructions.

Brink, is there a way to get to start-up settings from any of the recovery environments. It seems there are many and how they are created is a question?
