Personalization Add and Remove Widgets on Lock Screen in Windows 11

Lock_screen_banner.webp

This tutorial will show you how to add and remove widgets on the lock screen for your account in Windows 11.

You can stay informed and efficient with dynamic updates that bring weather, finance, sports, traffic, and app notifications right to your lock screen.

In Windows 11 build 22635.4870 (Beta 23H2) and build 26120.3360 (Beta/Dev 24H2), Microsoft is beginning to roll out support for lock screen widgets (previously referred to as “Weather and more”) to Windows Insiders in the European Economic Area (EEA). You can add, remove, and rearrange lock screen widgets such as Weather, Watchlist, Sports, Traffic, and more. Any widget that supports the small sizing option can be added here. Microsoft is starting this rollout first with Insiders in the EEA and plan to expand to Insiders in other regions in the future. Insiders outside the EEA will continue to see the Weather and more experience.

⚠️ If you do not have this feature available yet for this build, you can enable it using the command below with ViVeTool to have the option in the tutorial available after a restart.

vivetool /enable /id:50179255,53672489

Well, I consider 26120.3073 to be above 22635.4870. Maybe, I am wrong, but just saying.

I believe the correct answer @Brink is "lawyers". EEA (EU) is full of bureaucrats, so it's better to roll out a fully compliant solution for them before it goes worldwide.
