This tutorial will show you how to add or remove the Copilot icon on the taskbar for your account in Windows 11.
Microsoft Copilot is an AI-powered digital assistant designed to help you with a range of tasks and activities.
When you sign in to Copilot with your Microsoft account Copilot uses your Microsoft account to provide personalized assistance and access by default to a wide range of features. For example, saving and syncing your Copilot chat history on all devices you sign in to Copilot with the same Microsoft account.

Starting with the Copilot app (version 1.24112.123.0 and higher) rolling out to all Insider channels, this option is no longer available.
1 Open the Copilot app.
2 Click/tap on the Settings and more (3 dots) button, and click/tap on Pin to taskbar. (see screenshot below)
3 Click/tap on Yes in the Copilot notification to confirm. (see screenshot below)
1 Right click on the Copilot icon on the taskbar. (see screenshots below)
2 Click/tap on Pin to taskbar or Unpin from taskbar.
The Copilot app will need to be open to "Pin to taskbar" from the taskbar.
1 Open the Start Menu

2 Click/tap on the All apps button. (see screenshot below)
3 Right click on Copilot, click/tap on More, and click/tap on Pin to taskbar or Unpin from taskbar. (see screenshots below)

3 Drag Copilot from the Start Menu to the location you want its icon between the other apps on the taskbar, and drop it when you see the Link pop-up. (see screenshot below)
