Windows 11 22H2
Hello friends, I was wondering if anyone has a solution to this since MS is not helpful.
After the recent Windows 11 22H2 update, my Windows 11 Storage Space with 126GB has suddenly turned read-only. MS has not helped in trying to resolve this issue, and I don't want to lose all the files I have on it. Any help will be appreciated, if there is paid service that can help remotely or a software that will correct it, I will pay or buy it.
Thank you all for your help

That is the funny thing, the HDD don't show up Disk Manager but you can them as Read-Only in System-Storage-Storage Space. An I forgot to mention that this all started after Windows 11 22H2 Crashed my system that I have to do a totally new install

Ahh, the plot thickens. I think you did not do all the proper steps to clean install correctly. You know that you could have recovered from a crash had you had a good backup plan in place, right? This article has some things you can try. (not method 4 if your OS drive is involved.)Try the registry edit first . Still no luck, try using diskpart to clear the read only flag. Solved: SSD Read Only Mode in Windows 11, 10, 8, 7 (4 Methods Included)
If it still doesn't work your only option is to format the disks and start over with another clean install. Yes the data will be lost if you do not have it backed up.

Per Easeus Partition Master, sometime a disk is shown as read only when your user account permissions have gotten corrupted. Try this.
Enable hidden administrator account. From cmd prompt as admin type net user administrator /active: yes
Restart computer. At login screen you should see 2 acccounts, yours and administrator. Login to administrator.
Do you have access to the drives from this account? If so you can change permissions to include your user account.
More suggestions here. Fix 'This Drive Is Read Only' on SD Card/USB/Hard Drive [5 Methods]
Don't forget that after troubleshooting, from your account you should disable the administrator account from cmd prompt as admin. Type
net user administrator /active: no

Thank you so much, my friends, for your unconditional help. Since everything recommended did not work and MS has not helped, I am going to try finding a legit Windows 11 tech to see if they can help in either migrating the nearly 127 GB of my files to a cloud somewhere, so I can recover all the drives. I hope that after that I can transfer them to the new TrueNas Core build I just finished. If anyone knows of any company that can back up the Windows Storage Space without losing data, I am all ears. Cheers!
