Allow this device to wake the computer grayed out

I have a new HP Laptop pre-installed with Windows 11 Pro.

I want to allow my Bluetooth devices (mouse & keyboard) to wake the computer from Sleep Mode. In the device manager, the option in the properties for the Realtek Bluetooth 5 Adapter to allow it to wake the computer is grayed out.

Is there any way to activate it?

The adapter can't wake the PC, look under Keyboards and Mice and other pointing devices.

The only keyboard and mouse listed there are the fixed ones on the laptop. I am using an independent keyboard and mouse which connect via Bluetooth and they are listed in device manager within Bluetooth, but neither have the Power Management tab in their properties.

Yeah..., they probably have to be connected via USB receiver to be power manageable! 🤷‍♂️

Also… Bluetooth devices disconnect when a PC enters Hibernate mode

  • In the Start menu, run "Choose a power plan"
  • Click "Change plan settings" for your power plan
  • Click "Change advanced power settings"
  • Expand "Hibernate after", located under "Sleep"
  • Set "On battery" and "Plugged in" as "Never"
  • Click OK
  • Reboot.

Thanks. Tried this. Signed in as Administrator and the Bluetooth adapter lists as wake programmable, but when I enter the command to do so, it returns saying I don't have permission 🤷‍♂️
