As you can read on github, it can be expected that system tray would possibly be removed or hidden in future releases of windows. Also im not a fan of the default shell. So i was searching the internet for system tray implementations and found the following:
-) Cairo shell and retrobar have a system tray based on managed shell
-) tabame has a sort of system tray which is not 100÷ compatible with windows tray
-) Reactos explorer_old and WinXShell provide a partially complete notification area
-) NTshell-/Newshell the rare Calmira port for 32 bit early nt has a system tray but only for 32 bit apps.
There also is a notification are app called tray module but it has terrible window placement and is to old to compile n win11 24 h2.. May preferred solution would be to have a hide-able window that is movable across the screen and that autohides..
