Which part of the file name, the name/title itself or extension/file type? A folder cannot contain 2 or more sub-folders or files of exactly the same name, always need at least one character difference.

no they are my wallpaper Images and from downloading them
they all have these long names

I also save some of those images to the Assets folder but don't take time to write down the locales mentioned so renaming appropriately would be impossible.

powershell can easily do this for you. Something like the following

Get-ChildItem -Path "C:\backgrounds" -Recurse -Include "*.jpg" | ForEach-Object -Begin { $Counter = 1 } -Process { Rename-Item $_ -NewName "Background_$Counter.log" ; $Counter++ }

You would end up with
Background_1.jpg
Background_2.jpg
Background_3.jpg

A simple way is to open the folder, select all the images, right-click and choose Rename. Assign a name and all the rest will be renamed with the same name followed by an order number.

What do i copy? Im not that good with commands

I use FastStone Photo Resizer. That has an option to rename and/or number photos.

You open powershell and literally paste in the command just as it's shown (you have to change a few things to fit your system).

All of those suggested software‘s are good, I have used them. I also use one that is quite complex. But the ones posted do the right job
