Any way to change background color of restart and shutdown screens yet?

I'm sick of the dreary black screen whenever I restart and shut down Windows 11 and when updates are installing. Has anybody found a way to set screen color as we could easily do in 10? It seems Microsoft is forever taking away our choices and very rarely – if ever – giving us new ones.

Using BCDEDIT you can change the timeout to say 3 seconds and you will not see it long. Mine is set to 10. I do not believe you can alter the color.

Microsoft is forever taking away our choices
Colored boot screens take up too much resources..., just like showing seconds on the Taskbar clock takes up too much resources!!!
These feeble modern machines, with 128GB of RAM and 64 core processors can't handle that!!!

I'm sorry, but I have to ask.... why do you sit and look at the screen when it's booting, shutting down, or updating? If you find something else to do, the color of the screen won't bother you

Doesn't even work with a High Contrast theme anymore! Matter of fact, it looks even worse!

Anyway..., I believe that is all hardcoded in W11, it would probably take some 3rd party utility to pull it off.
