Solved AOMEI backup image

I downloaded the free version of AOMEI backup software. I want to make an image of my C drive so that if I need to replace the harddrive I can restore that image onto the new drive and have it boot as well as have the program and data files that the original drive had. Will the free version of AOMEI do this? If so which function do I chose to do this? Thanks.

Thank you for your response. I went to the comparison site you suggested and it was very helpful. Not being sure about some of the terminology, I still don't know if I need to select "Disk Backup", "System Backup" or "Partition Backup" in order to have an image that can be restored to another drive so that if I replaced the old drive with the one I backed up to, it would boot and run everything the same as the original drive. Thank you for your help.

How to create Partition and Volume Backup in Windows Easily

Partition Backup is to back up partitions you select, you can select D:drive, E:drive, F:drive to be backed up,etc.

Thank you for your response. I know that a paid version of Aomei is required to clone a drive, that is not what I want to do. I want a full backup of everything on a drive that includes the operating system etc. A backup that can be restored to another drive should the source drive die. After restoring the destination drive would boot and contain everything that the source drive contained. Would "Disk Backup" do that for me?

Disk Backup is to back up all partitions on the specific disk you select to an image file, and the operation is very easy to complete.

Regarding system disks, AOMEI Backupper offers two backup options: System Backup and Disk Backup. Disk Backup is used to back up all partitions, including the system partition, boot partition, and data partitions, on the running system disk. This means that if you back up a system disk via Disk Backup, after restoring it, the system can boot normally. On the other hand, System Backup backs up system partition and system-related partitions only (boot partition, system reserved partition, etc.). If you have already created a disk backup for the running system disk, there is no need to run a system backup separately.
