That is the registered Key - not the installation key... Export CurrentVersion - edit reg file to remove all but the entry - Import reg file and install software...
Do you even have the original installer? If not, but you remember when you downloaded it, then you may find the right one in the Wayback machine.
Bree I am not 100% sure. I think it was V6.92, but not really sure. Till now I was trying with the latest trial versions. but my old V6.92 has the same problem!
No, but Reflect Free v8.0 is the full version, it's just the free licence key that it installs with that turns off the Premium features. Should you get a v8 Home key later you just need to install it to turn Free v8.0 into Home v8.0, which could then get the latest v8.1 updates.
Already downloaded the free version from the link you posted earlier. Going to install that on the clean PC install. It will be slower and with less options. But at least it will get the job done for now. It sucks that aomei gives you a life time license but dose not allow you to use it on a new install! They expect you to stay on same windows forever!?
There may be little to choose between them for speed, according to cereberus here. Free cannot do incrementals, but it can do differentials. Image Guardian, Changed Block Tracking, File and Folder backup, and Rapid Delta Restore are Premium features, but all the scheduling functions are available in Free. I was happy using it for several years before buying my first licence.
What I need to find is the version of the original backupper that I installed when I got the life time license. since then I have updated it tens of times and it's right now on the latest version 7.4.1
I never do incrementals. After a clean install I customize windows, install latest drivers and I setup my working software and configure them. Then I do a full backup. Then I install other software and games etc and do a differential. These are the only two backups I keep. I go back to differential if something goes wrong and I keep the full backup if ever I need to get back to that point. My personal files and data are on D: and I always have a full copy of them (synced) to my external SSD. What I would REALLY miss is Rapid Delta Restore with the free version. But this is normal! there should be a difference for paying people and me in this case :)

Yes, that's true. Of my 4 licences for v8 Home, two are installed on machines where I intend to keep Reflect v8 for the foreseeable future. Those are updated to the latest v8.1. Two others may (or may not) keep using Reflect Home. If I get another newer machine I may want to take their licence and install it on that. For those I've deliberately left them on the last version of v8.0 Home so that they will revert to Reflect Free if/when I remove their licence.
