Have you checked to see what activation key is used by running ShowKeyPlus? If not, you can find ShowKeyPlus in the MS app Store. I have an idea that you will find that it's a MAK activation.

Sorry that I missed this question. Getting audio to work on my Beelink was a bit tricky, I must admit. With a clean install, it would come up with an exclamation point on Multimedia Audio Controller in Device Manager.

I found in a driver bundle for my SEI8 mini PC from Beelink, a folder called 11-ES8336-IntelSST Audio Driivers (Smart Sound Technology Driver), I went into that folder, into the 1-SST folder, and right clicked on Install and ran that as an administrator.

Once loaded, I had to reboot and all was well. If you are not able to find this driver, hit me up and I can share it with you via my OneDrive.

Well, the initial device came with 11 Pro installed, and I didn't check the key to see what key it had.

When I formatted the drive, and reinstalled 11 from my USB key, i choose that I didn't have a key and allowed it to use the generic key for Windows 11 Pro. Once the install was done, it checked in with the Microsoft servers which had already had this device stored and it activated it.

Under Windows system activation, it says that it's activated with a digital license linked to my Microsoft account.

So, I'm unable to ascertain if a MAK key was ever used or not by Beelink.

You should be able to find out with ShoweKeyPlus.

No need to use ShowKeyPlus, if it says "Activated by a digital license", the key is either retail or OEM, not MAK.

You're make and Model Look on the Bottom of you're Beelink it's all there The P1 P2 P3 P4 Or a Number or letter that Matches why you have On the Bottom of you're Beeling down load you're Modes to you're os system save to a Blank usn drive then when you're did what you formated you Must Boot into you're Bios sysem and choose the Boot Option to usb this should Open it up to Allow you to click on the file you put on there to re install your'e system this ony worked if you're reinstaling or an Inplace reinsall ibefore 24H2

I do have a Beelink SEi12 MiniPC bought in Amazon,USA in May 2023 and using it in India since June 2023. Have had no problems whatsoever till now. Came with Windows 11 Pro 22H2. They do use Volume licence - genuine Windows. Activation Status: " Windows is activated with a digital licence linked to your Microsoft account"

In my Microsoft account > Devices, I also see the SEi MiniPC alongwith my other Dell Inspiron AIO 3280 ( Windows 10 Home)

When reinstalled it may ask for the activation key. Many users asked for it in the Beelink Forum Beelink Forum and Beelink support sent the key by a private message on furnishing the Serial number and Model indicated on the label at the back of the MiniPC. The users had used it and activated Windows without any problem.

Seeing that I also asked for the activation key

furnishing the Serial Number and Model Number at the back of the PC. Within a day or two I got the activation key in a private message. I have noted it and kept in a safe place. Haven't done any clean install/repair install on this PC till date.( Later on I found that the private message with the key had disappeared. Good that I copied it and kept)

(Somewhere I had read that the activation code can be found in the registry path Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform but the code I got is different from what Beelink sent. I don't know what this registry activation code is.)

It is simple. If in the message says "Activated by a digital license", it will activate again no matter how many times you clean install the SAME (Home or Pro) version of Windows. The language is irrelevant. We used this at my previous job to format refurbished PCs bought from Germany or Poland and install Windows 10/11 Greek. They activated because they had a digital license. If the message says "Activated by your organization" it is a volume key probably illegally activated and you cannot activate it again if you clean install unless you use the relevant illegal tools. You need to change it with a new valid key. So before you clean install your Beelink or whatever other computer, see the message in Activation.

I know for a fact that one can activate Windows with a digital license using a MAK.

I see that you haven't responded to my post,. I have to think that you found out that I'm correct. One can use A MAK activation to get a This device is activated with a digital license tied to the MS account. I know first hand that it can.

I don't know about that, I use local accounts to login, but you are probable right. However, isn't a MAK key usually activated by "the organization". Could this include the reseller without using illegal tools? Not sure. As far as I know resellers can use OEM keys, why use MAK keys?

I have no clue why Beelink and others do it. On all of my Beelink pcs I get the same screens that @jumanji posted. I forget what is on the Karui mini pc I have. I stopped using it when I upgrade to Beelink.

The point is as long as you can activate again after a clean installation, you don't care. You are OK from your part and have a clear conscience. If they violate EULA is their fault, not yours.

I wonder if MS is OK with it. I'm sure they must know that companies are selling devices and/or the Windows OS with a MAK license. I think the worse that MS will do to the buyers is block the activation. I did do a clean install of Windows 11 on one of my Beelinks. I was running a Canary Insider build on it and decided to go back to the release version. It activated without any problems. I did have to search the Beelink site to find the needed motherboard drivers. The computer booted and ran but I had a list of devices with the question mark in Device Manager.

I believe it is preferable for Microsoft to let users use legit keys that violate EULA than have them activate Windows illegally or even worse move to Linux. Rumors say they deliberately "leaked" Windows 95 and turned a blind eye on illegal copies to increase their user base. And they succeeded. Most computers were running Windows 95 and later than any other OS.

I don't even think they can prevent it now. At worst, they could prevent me from inputting that MAK key on another box (if I even knew the MAK key), and having it activate.

Since the Beelink is already activated, and it's registered with the hardware ID and registered on the MS servers, I think it will be golden for eternity. Or at least until I made enough hardware changes (which won't happen) on the hardware such that MS viewed it as a different box altogether.

As I said they don't care. As long as you buy the key, it is profit for Microsoft, they don't care if you are an individual, not company employee. It is much better than activating Windows illegally. Think about it.
