Solved Bleachbit vs. CCleaner?

I used CCleaner for years while it was developed and managed by Piriform. Bur after it was acquired by Avast in 2017 I stopped using it because I was informed that whenever it was tested for update or was updated it could and would aquire your personal information.
So I used several other apps but now I use Bleachbit, Wise Disk Cleaner, and using an elevated command prompt:cmd.exe /c Cleanmgr /sageset:65535 & Cleanmgr /sagerun:65535.

CCleaner, the popular file clean-up and performance optimization utility for Windows, has been hacked to spread malware to users of the 32-bit version. The breach was discovered by security researchers at Cisco Talos Group. They found that the hackers could inject the malware into the app by accessing the download servers used by the antivirus provider Avast (the parent company that owns CCleaner). “For some time, the legitimate signed version of CCleaner 5.33 being distributed by Avast also contained a multi-stage malware payload that rode on top of the installation of CCleaner,” writes the Talos team.

Again? They had issues when Avast was taking Piriform over. Says a lot about Avast if they can't even protect their own servers.

I now just use windows storage cleaner... But I have CCleaner portable on stand by

I use PrivaZer, as you can select which cookies to keep.

I just use it for Internet Browsing, Cookies, Super Cookies, Index dat & Web cache. Does a lot more however you need to know what you are doing!

And then there is Microsoft's own app, PC Manager, still in Beta & available on Chinese servers. I have never used it but it could be interesting to check it out.

I don't use either. Rarely find a need for a third party tool for this kind of stuff. Disk cleanup takes care of most of it for me. I don't install much junk on my machine. I use a vm when I play with something.

there's also Wise Disk Cleaner, which is my first choice over both Bleachbit and CCleaner

I tried both Wise Disk Cleaner and Disk Max, the only advantage with Wise is that it includes Brave B, which Disk Max does not.

Haven't tried Bleachbit yet.

As for DiskMax, one example, let's say you have credentials saved up in your browser(s) and several different users on that system , you obviously do not want to erase them but If you do, you can do a system wide cleanup as admin., or cleanup individual users'.
But as anything in life, you need to inform yourself; is it really needed for what I do?
All the points on this thread are valid, plenty of pros & cons. And in truth, Alexey I am concerned about you running any cleanup software blindly.

Thanks, Disk Max is good but as pointed no Brave B option. Had none difficulty running it, additionally it hasn't been updated lately.

Yea, I saw this 2 days ago too, with the (Bêta ?) version in Chinese (!)
