My motherboard is MSI Z590 and supports Bluetooth. However, I just tried to pair my Bose QC45 headphones without success. Windows says that I should turn on Bluetooth but there is no switch in the Bluetooth tab of System like there is on my other pc (screenshot attached of my MSI Z790). I've updated all the drivers MSI has available, I have made sure the BT services are all running and I see no switch in the BIOS that would prevent the BT from working. I have reloaded Windows but have the same results. Does anyone have any idea what I could do?

there is no switch in the Bluetooth tab of System
Windows cannot detect the hardware.
I had that once. The next day it was suddenly fine again and has been for the six years since.
You could, if you have the Service manual for your computer, "reseat" your Bluetooth adapter i.e. take it out and put it back in again.

Best of luck,
Denis

You've not listed your board model (or any system specs) so I can't look into it see what features there are (or aren't). That said...

On a Z590, your BT adapter might be integrated into the board, as it is on my Gigabyte Z390 so it may not be "removable". That said, do double check you actually installed the driver. And reboot (not a requirement) the PC to ensure things get settled.

Also, BT needs to stay enabled in order to work. You don't just turn it on, then turn it off after connection. It needs to be on. And make sure you install the antenna so that you get a good signal.

Anyway, this is as far as I'm going to guess without knowing your motherboard model.

Good luck.

Check your BIOS, is there any setting to enable/disable Bluetooth? Make sure it is enabled there. Check MSI's support site, maybe Bluetooth works only using their official drivers or Bluetooth software. Update your chipset drivers, maybe a motherboard component doesn't work properly to enable Bluetooth functionality.

Before anyone can help you properly, YOU MUST post your Motherboard specs in detail (Brand and Model), so we can reference the correct users manual and drivers. MSI Z590 is not enough information to get anywhere, as there exist a lot of models in this series.
