Hello all. I built a new PC and have been getting a BSOD for driver power state failure.

There was a recurrent BSOD on Wed Sep 25 21:20:14.743 2024 (UTC - 5:00) caused by qcwlan64.sys.

qcwlan Qualcomm Extensible Wireless LAN 11BE device driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\qcwlan64.sys


If an older driver can be found then uninstall and reinstall.

If another driver cannot be found then swap test the network card.

Sorry for the late reply. I downloaded an updated driver but it wouldn't install. I'm not sure what you mean by swap test the network card.

Recurrent BSOD with different driver versions is seen with malfunctioning hardware.

Swap testing may be useful in ruling in / ruling out malfunctioning hardware.

Swap testing may include:
a) temporarily replacing the network card in the problematic computer
b) testing the network card from the problematic computer in another computer
