Yeah, it's a discount. But the annual plan is still far more costly than the One time payment.
They'll have a discount on the One time, sooner or later.

I'd suggest, just getting the free version of AOMEI, and wait for a decent sale on the Macrium One Time Payment option.

this program can manage to restore you system even you mess with partiotions linux setup and etc... in my case can make wonders and i totaly love it! the devs behind are briliant!!

Now Hasleo has Delta Restore free of charge (which was my main reason for using MRH), it is debatable if I will upgrade my V8 versions - V9 would have to be exceptional, and even then I would only upgrade on my main laptop.

I wanted to subscribe to the annual plan, but it seemed to me that the discount would only be for the first year, and I would not get it when renewing the subscription, in addition to the annual subscription price of $49.99 / year, which I consider very expensive and not worth it.

So I bought the permanent plan, which unfortunately for me did not find a discount on it like before. It appears from the link listed on their website that this is a prelude to making the plan only annual, and I think that would be very bad.

I bought Macrium reflect 8 perpetual in January of 25th of 2023.
Is it true that after the release of reflex that I will no longer receive any fixes or patches from Macrium.
I am unclear as to what happens when reflex is released in my situation.

Yes and no.

V8.1 is still supported until Oct 2025.
There is no support beyond Oct 2025.

This policy is same as for all versions when a new major build comes out.

In the end V8.1 is a mature product and updates are rather infrequent now anyway.
Many still use V7 (or even V6) quite happily despite no support for years.

One potential thing that could happen is Windows significantly changes and this causes issues e.g. they move away from NTFS but no point in worrying about something that may never happen.
