Yeah everyone has the system32 folder..really surprising people think they don't considering the knowledge kicking around in here.. I dont have the file but certainly have the system32

Yeah it was the way some things were written more than anything, it did sound like people were saying they didn't have the system32 folder, whether thats what they meant or not, it could absolutely be interpreted that way, thats all

C:\Windows\System32\wuauservx\wuauservx.exe



If you don't have a System32 folder... Windows won't work... at all. :D

But... if we're on Windows... we DO have a System32 folder. :-)

One thought came up, maybe some of these people did not have the Hide Protected System Files turned off?

I've allowed Protected System files and file extensions, and I don't have that file or folder.
I even searched the whole C:\ drive, and they aren't... anywhere.
Either the folder or the file. :-)

That part is obvious but so far, only no name things in Virus total claims it's bad and ofcourse Windows Defender. Malwarebytes staff gave their response on the file and they say there is nothing bad with the file.

I disabled the service and renamed the file as mentioned before so it ends in .exe.orig instead of .exe so if it is valid in the future, I'll just undo the changes.

as i said, it was just written in a way that didn't exactly say what it meant lol. Could be interpreted as you didn't have sys32 folder but just a misunderstanding all good :)
