Earlier this week I attempted to upgrade my Win10 system to a Win11. Seemingly all went well until I got the sign-in screen. All my attempts to sign-in are incorrect. The password the system is looking for possibly came from the original Win10 system from 3/2016 which I can not recall. Have tried various things - including the 'netplwiz' trick which gets me back to a sign-in screen (no help). Being unable to sign-in sorely limits my attempts at many suggestions of 'Windows + R' and others, a suggestion of getting into 'Safe Mode' and where I could go after in that mode escapes me. Have also tried what I thought would be a quick & easy trick - called the old 'regedit' trick. What that was to change the value of 'Passwordless' which unfortunately not every Win11 registry has such an animal (did it ever?). Have read many solutions on the internet and now am thoroughly confused. Am now approaching 89 and my memory is sure as hell not what it once was. I do have a Win7 that I can use for various research. Any suggestions would be appreciated. THANX!!!
