i just restarted, no dice.
the only thing i used is winaero tweaker to hide folders like onedrive/music etc.
Might want to undo those particular tweaks temporarily.
There are one or two Winaero tweaks I've noticed in the past, that have had adverse effects on Windows 11.
I don't know of any that would cause what we're seeing here... but I have seen "some" issues.
Might want to check the ones in the Windows 11 section (near the top), and those in the File Explorer section about 1/2 way down.
As an example... in the Desktop and Taskbar section I had "Disable Action Center" checkmarked.
It killed the Taskbar Calendar in Windows 11. LOL
There was one in the Win 11 section I had check marked... it killed the START button.
I don't remember which one that was.
The easy way to find out if it anything in Winaero, is to just export all your Winaero settings,
then uninstall Winaero, and reboot.
File > Export Tweaks
If that "doesn't" solve the issue, you can just reinstall Winaero and Import your tweaks.
If it "does" solve the File Explorer problem... then reinstall Winaero, don't import your tweaks...
and go a LOT slower with those check boxes.
Side Note:
Here are some NON-Winaero tweaks, that seem to work without issues...
These are tweaks I've seen asked for... many times. They are collected here for easy access. All of these and more can be found in the Eleven Forum Tutorials section. Make sure to read the "notes" in the various tutorials. At the bottom of the first post in all the "tutorials", there are...
