Over the last week or so I've been unable to put my PC into Sleep mode. More specifically, whenever I put it into Sleep mode it immediately resumes. Running Powercfg doesn't give any clues - see below:

Code:
powercfg /lastwake
Wake History Count - 1
Wake History [0]
  Wake Source Count - 0

Event Viewer shows these events at the time that I put the machine into sleep mode:
Code:

The system session has transitioned from 48 to 49.

What does powercfg /a return? You don't have a Bluetooth mouse in adrawer somewhere do you? That has caused computers to wake.

Someone more knowledgable will be along soon to help you.

I just turned off hybrid sleep, then put the machine into Sleep mode. It woke again after about 1 minute.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I may have made some progress...

I entered the "powercfg -devicequery wake_armed" command, and one of the devices listed was "PCI Express Root Port". I Googled "PCI Express Root Port waking PC from sleep" and found that someone on Reddit had success by going into Device Manager, selecting the Realtek network adapter, and preventing it from waking the machine from sleep.

I tried this, and the machine stayed in Sleep mode until I woke it 10 mins later. Probably too early to say, but I'm hoping that this may have fixed the problem.

I'm not sure why this has only suddenly started happening though - I'm guessing that it was caused by a Windows update.

No new hardware.
Typically updating the GPU drivers will solve the issue. Most of the time when I encounter Sleep issues that's what solves it.

Note I said "most of the time" not definitely; not always.... but it is worth a shot. You might look also look at all your drivers.

Good luck.
