Can't stop this irritating sound notification
Every once in while I get this irritating sound notification 5 note descending melody 1 sec pause and 5 ascending melody. This is a recording studio computer, so it's coming through my loud studio monitors. I went to Control Panel / Sound and on the 2nd tab it says "sound scheme" I put it on no sounds and then even saved my own no sound scheme and unchecked play windows startup sound. I also went to Settings / System / sounds. I may need a registry tweak to stop all Windows notifications
If I play Win media player it comes out of the back of my computer, using the built in audio and into my mixing board. I have a MOTU sound card for my recording studio also going into my mixing board.
Any suggestions?

For system sounds I always disable the whole lot of them and this setting. I frequently am using the audio (listening to music etc.) and don't want Windows or some app burping, beeping or bonging at me.

Not an immediately identifiable Windows sound scheme option. Probably related to an individual program
As
@S0C9 suggests, check settings for individual programs running in the background
EDIT
If at the end your tether, out of sheer frustration, run Ultrasearch over the whole C:\ drive for Audio file types only. Examine the list
