Challenge: Get Win 11 running on my laptop

I'm running Win11 just fine on a really old Dell laptop that has a CPU just a little newer than yours. It took a LOT of work to get it installed, but now that it IS, it is running without any issues.

That laptop fails the same Win11 "requirements" as does yours.

It's really an issue of what Win11 actually NEEDS versus what Microsoft WANTS -- these are NOT the same!

No Home edition of Windows, 8, 10 or 11 has Hyper-V, only their Pro editions include it. For Home you can install 3rd-party software like VirtualBox or VMWare to run VMs.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro (and all my Hyper-V VMs).

Here is another hiccup with my device.

As you may be aware I have a Medion Akoya E6228 ( MSN 30013943)

I tried to get into BIOS, to see if it can go from Legacy to the other or whether its already on the other, still no joy as it will not load to be seen.

I done some googling, some suggestions was saying press Delete key, others F9. I tried those keys as well as F1, F4, F9.

The only keys that work is F2 to enter "SetUp" and F10 for boot sequence.

It's a puzzle

Setup = BIOS
They are the same thing.

And, F2 is the right key according to your manual. (pg. 76)

I could not see any view of the one you had. Either mine is not working correctly or something has skewed.

You're gonna want to look on the "Boot" tab.

On the Boot tab, look for things like CSM or Boot Options...

Look at "everything" on the boot tab. We want something that says UEFI or Legacy or both.
I don't think you're gonna find that though. I see a 2011 date there. That's probably too old.

Yeah... that's NOT a UEFI BIOS.

There's still a way to install Windows 11 on a Legacy BIOS with an MBR disk...
It involves taking a part of a Windows 10 ISO and sticking it into a Windows 11 ISO, then installing that.
You need to decide if you want to go through all that.

I had a quick view and went to the site mentioned, unfortunately could not see any Non TPM and Secure Boot types at this point in time.
