I've got M365 Business. Outlook has the classic version with a toggle to change to 'New Outlook'. It took me a little while to adapt but I use 'New Outlook' which I now prefer.
Thanks...I guess that means that soon there will be only be one MS Office 2024...the only difference between Home/Student and Home/Business was Outlook. If Outlook "New" is replacing both Windows Mail and Outlook "classic" than there won't be any difference.

The only reason I was using classic is that I use the "Force OST" and "Force PST" registry entries to store profile information in folders of my choice. Does "New" Outlook allow that now? The last update I saw was that PSTs were still in development...can you at least have OSTs in a different folder?

Here's a screenshot of the current Outlook data file functions in New Outlook (M365 Business). All this currently does is allows the opening of a .pst file with limited functionality.
They're working on it. How long that will take, heaven knows. 🤷‍♂️

I've been trying to figure out whether any of the impending changes to 'Outlook' discussed here are likely to impact my wife's Outlook 2007 Enterprise edition. It's the only em she has ever used and holds all her correspondence right back to 2009. Everything is working normally at present and she has not seen any warnings of impending change, and she does not have the option to switch to New Outlook either. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

nothing will change on the Outlook 2007 program itself, but any challenges would depend on her email address provider (xfinity, yahoo, gmail, outlook.com, etc)

I'm having classic issues Office 2019 so I am trying to get into the new outlook in win 11. Trouble right away is that I can't seem to be able to drag and drop emails from one account to another ass in classic.

Building a new desktop on the horizon; this was definitely a budget build based on circumstances at the time.
I love my Outlook 2021 to manage 5 accounts (2 MS, 2 ISP, 1 gmail)but won't use it without Classic. If I'm still around by 2029 (doubtful) I will have to seek another email solution.. Outlook New is a crock of donkey dung and I don't think I could go back to webmail (which I fully expect MS will do away with for MS provided email accounts at some point in the near future).
I am with you mate, this 70 yo is flabbergasted at all the BS Microsoft does, their spyware garbage and bloatware has destroyed this solid reliable company to today where near enough is good enough, 24H2 is an abomination.

Why do they insist on killing off once excellent Outlook (classic) for basically web only.
Like MS Store, I dont wany 90% of the garbage they want you to install, I dont want spotify, I dont want my Android phone connected to PC., etc, etc.

Sad.
