Clipboard Service Hangs

Does anyone have a fix for the Windows 11 Clipboard service hang?

Symptoms:
- Cut/Paste works only with last copy/cut - history is frozen
- New copy/cut entries do not show up in history
- Clear history appears to work, but calling it back up using Win-V shows the same stale history as before it was cleared.
- The Clipboard User Service is missing from Task Manager Services when the problem occurs.
- The problem seems to occur after doing a lot of cut/copy/paste with Excel, but not sure if there is a connection.

Running services.msc from an admin shows the Clipboard User Service is running (even though it's missing in Task Manager).
Attempting to stop/start the service from services.msc fails with: Windows could not stop the Clipboard Service - Error 1053 The service did not respond.

As of now, I have to reboot to fix it and this is a pain as it occurs several times a day.

It's not the Clipboard Service as even stopping it successfully still allow win key + v to work, please see this thread as I am trying to find out what the process that can fix it rebooting it is:

And when the problem happens, the clipboard service couldn't be successfully stopped just like you mentioned.

I managed to get it working again by killing the PID of the svchost.exe process id for the stop pending clipboard user service which will restart automatically
in the same state you get when you reboot but without rebooting so only the pinned items will remain while anything added to the clipboard woulḍbe gone, see my referenced thread for details.

Now wonder how long it will take before Microsoft acknowledges and fixes the problem as plenty of reports on Feedback Hub about it for months.

@JS4269 - Do you still have the problem? Seems like I have not had the problem for atleast a few weeks and it's working normally again.
