25 years ago, when I first started using Windows, I had one email service. So I registered Windows with my userid@1stemail.net. Later I got another email service with a different carrier, so I have 2 email accounts now, both registered with Microsoft. I will be cutting the first email service off sometime in the summer in favor of a much faster and cheaper City fiber optic service.
My question is: does Microsoft really care whether or not you have the carrier your email says you have? As a precaution, I have the second email account set as a recovery for the first account.
What I'm afraid of is if Microsoft does verify your email carrier and it's suddenly gone, everything I have on my PC tied to the first account won't be accessable and I'll have to start over again if I use the second email userID account.
Or am I just paranoid?
