Keep the web app Copilot and remove the defunct taskbar sidebar shortcut.

Go to the three dot menu, open it and scroll down to install app. Click it and the Copilot site will be saved as a web app you can pin to your taskbar.

The thread starter, @Wisewiz, has two Copilot applications in Installed Apps and want to remove the deprecated one.
@RFS & @Fabler2 have the same issue.

Just hit Windows Key + X, go to "Installed Apps" and then locate the "Copilot (Preview)" entry, click on the 3 dot button and then on uninstall. That's what I did when I found that thing. OH, also there's an entry in "Edit Group Directives", where you can totally disable Copilot from the OS.

If you have windows editions inferior to the Pro edition, you can use the REG file part of the tutorial to disable it as well.

EDIT: There's some changes that have happened since I uninstalled the preview version... I think some people with 24H2 has two entries, "Copilot" and "Windows Copilot", the later cannot be uninstalled, just disabled via tutorial (Which I believe it still works), the former should be the the deprecated version, and should let you uninstall it...

@Wisewiz. I don't remember how I uninstalled it but I only have one version of Copilot listed and I have the option to remove it in installed apps and in Revo Uninstaller. If you have Revo installed you can check there to see if it gives you the uninstall option.

Then you have the definite version that comes with 24H2, try the tutorial I left you in case you wanna get rid of copilot, if that's not the case, means that's it XD
