Conflict between Win 10 and Win 11?

We need to get off the photos! The problem is more universal! I can't open .doc and .xls files in MS Office or OpenOffice or Libra. I can't open .pdf files in Foxit or Adobe. I can't open most files whether in the Windows 10 or 11 if they were saved on computers with the other Operating System! The issue is: if saved on a Windows 10 computer it will not open on the Windows 11. I have tried every sugestion made in this thread, and none of them has helped.
I appreciate everyon's help--thank you!
OH! Forget it! I'll just have to live with it!

So , you create any file, .jpg, .doc, .pdf in one computer, you copy that to a USB flash drive, go to the other computer and cannot open it? Please post a screenshot with the error for more investigation. Also if both computers are connected to the same network, you can set both networks to "private" from Settings and then assign a folder as shared to each. From one computer you access the shared folder of the other via network. Put any files there and see if they open properly on the remote computer. To access a shared folder, open File Explorer and type \\computername\sharedfoldername. For example to access my documents in my own PC, I would type \\spapakons\documents (this obviously is not my actual computer name).

"Will not open" is a nonsensical combination of words. It has no meaning.

What does your "will not open" mean precisely? You can't access the flash drive at all? You have no access to/permission to open specific files? The files are accessible but programs complain about invalid file format? Something else?

What exactly do you see?

This is a technical forum. If you want someone to help you, you need to provide a technically meaningful description of the issue.
My mama told me I could get more flies with honey than I could with with sourness. Now why anyone would want flies I don't have a clue but there you have it.

Yes this is a technical forum, but we have lots of people who visit here looking for help who don't know Jack about technical. So give the big guy a break please.

The equivalent Greek expression is "you catch more with sugar than with vinegar", meaning being nice gets you better results than force and violence. Yes, not everyone reading this forum is technically savvy, so we can excuse some errors when someone tries to describe his issue. As a Computer Technician I have heard many times things like "it doesn't work" or "it doesn't switch on", while he really is trying to say "it doesn't boot" or "it doesn't load Windows". It's up to us experts to decipher what the simple user is trying to say and help him. It is similarly to a tourist trying to ask something in a local language and the rude locals pretend they don't understand. BS! He doesn't have to speak flawlessly to the local accent to understand what he is asking for and help him. I say that because I have been that tourist and I didn't like being treated like this. Here in Greece we try to understand what the tourists are trying to say in their broken Greek and we even speak to their language, if possible, to make them feel at home.
