This tutorial will show you how to copy text from photos and screenshots on your Android phone in the Phone Link app on your Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC.

With the Phone Link app on your PC linked to your Android phone, you can instantly access the Android apps installed on your mobile device right on your Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC. Using a Wi-Fi connection, Apps allows you to browse, play, order, chat, and more — all while using your PC’s larger screen and keyboard.

You can view up to 2000 photos and screenshots you've taken on your linked phone in the Phone Link app on your PC.

The Phone Link app will only show photos that are in the Camera Roll or Screenshots folders on your linked phone. If you moved or saved your photos to a different folder, they will not appear in the Phone Link app.

The Phone Link app can now effortlessly detect and copy text from your Android phone photos that you can then paste where you want in Windows 11.

Here's How:

1 Open the Phone Link app on your Windows 10/11 PC.

2 Click/tap on Photos on the toolbar. (see screenshot below step 3)

3 Click/tap on the photo or screenshot you want to copy text from. (see screenshot below)

4 Click/tap on Text (Ctrl+T) on the toolbar. (see screenshot below)

It may take a moment for text to be detected and ready to select.

5 If you have more than one language installed in Windows 10/11, you can click/tap on the current preferred language (ex: "English (United States)"), and select a new preferred language (ex: "English (United Kingdom)") in the drop menu. (see screenshot below)
