Defender off line scan

On Win ver 2894 defender off line scan works as it should. 3037 does not work at all. Anyone else tried off line. It seems no mater what update MS throw down the pipe, there is always a cock up. Gone back to 2894.

Thanks for the reply. No go, doesn’t do anything, wont work on both machines running 3037.

Won't do scan, When clicking on scan now it just closes.

Edit:- no error messages nothing in event viewer.

I have tried that upgrade install and it still will not do an off line scan, like I said, MS just screws things up on most updates.

I don't use offline scan only time i use it if Windows Defender cannot remove infection.

I don't either but the point is that 2894 works and 3037 it doesn’t . Why is it that what works on one update doesn't on the next.

I doubt that it will be fixed, I don't even think MS is even aware of the problem, even if they are they don't care. Please don't say report this to feed back cos it will fall on deaf ears, I have already tried.
