I'm looking for a widget or app to display on my desktop the computer hardware. Like HWInfo or the like, just pared down somewhat. Any ideas? Thanks!

Personally, I like AIDA64 Extreme. You can set up an On Screen Display, or set Sensor Icons for the Taskbar.
You can even set it to display on a smart phone.
