Yes, I've also been pinning with the "more" option. But I was adhering to the drag and drop option.Actually, I just did it... but you have to do it from "All apps"
And BTW, you CAN also pin any icon in the Start Menu to the taskbar by right clicking it, clicking "More" and clicking "Pin to taskbar". Been doing that for a while as well.
I'm sorry, but did my video not show drag and drop???Yes, I've also been pinning with the "more" option. But I was adhering to the drag and drop option.
I was asking about the motivation of Microsoft, not advice on software development. If it's so easy (synonymous with "not at all a difficult task") how come you've not done it for them instead of complaining here?
At the very least you could have written your own program to show how easy it is.
I can't say as don't use third-party taskbar replacements since I haven't found a need for them.Plenty of third-party taskbar replacements are available. And with each Windows release more and more parts of Windows need third-party replacements, as a must, because the MS software becomes not usable.
And I was struck by the factuality of your tone that I thought you had personal experience in how easy it is to write the code...I was asking about the motivation of Microsoft, not advice on software development.
It should be noted that re-writing the taskbar or writing it from scratch is not at all a difficult task, ....
Basic taskbar can be created even in VB6.And I was struck by the factuality of your tone that I thought you had personal experience in how easy it is to write the code...
I think we may have miscommunicated there . . . Drag and drop is drag and drop.I'm sorry, but did my video not show drag and drop???
I clearly dragged from the Start menu to the Taskbar. Or perhaps there's a different definition of drag and drop?
Yeah, this is where we differ on the start Menu as I see it as a whole with two pages - page 1 is where your most popular apps are pinned. Page 2 is where ALL your installed apps shortcuts and folders are. It is page 2 where you can drag and drop.I think we may have miscommunicated there . . . Drag and drop is drag and drop.
To me, the Start Menu is the box of apps that shows up when you click the start button. I cannot drag and drop from that box.
I can, like you did, drag and drop from the All Apps Menu.
The All Apps page has pretty much always been there, but not that monstrosity claiming it's a Start Menu.Yeah, this is where we differ on the start Menu as I see it as a whole with two pages - page 1 is where your most popular apps are pinned. Semantics, but page 2 is STILL part of the Start menu. While you can't drag and drop from page 1, you can drag and drop from page 2. So yes, you CAN drag and drop from the Start menu.
That's the way I see it, so... but I get your point
At the end of the day it's clear you just flat out refuse to acknowledge a fact, even in the face of video evidence. The All Apps page has pretty much always been there, but not that monstrosity claiming it's a Start Menu.
Not really. I am in agreement with what you've stated; All Apps lets me drag and drop.At the end of the day it's clear you just flat out refuse to acknowledge a fact, even in the face of video evidence.
Sounds like 2020 to me
Movin on
Unlike Tyler Durden, the Narrator can't destroy the credit card companies.
