Does Office 2010, as well as Outlook 2007, and Visio 2010 still work on Windows 11 24H2?

Outlook 2007 & 2010 can handle any email despite new authentication. You can just set an app password and configure it that way. I just did it for Outlook 2010 with a Microsoft 365 email.

I did not manage to set up my Outlook 2007 to access my outlook.com accounts after that authentication change.
I tried the app password method [the method I successfully used with my GMail] but it still failed.
Please would you tell me how you did it.

I tried several times -

Sorry, I used glasskuter's method:-
set up pop gmail - glasskuter post #5 - ElevenForum
It must have all gone easily because I made no notes apart from @glasskuter's docx file.
I did keep these links as well:-
Callender #4 - another GMail 2FA guide - TenForums
Let less secure apps access your account - Google Account Help

The settings within Outlook are the same as they always were. I just had to use the app password in place of the email account password.
Using Outlook to check mail also remains as it always has been.

Outlook 2007, Tools, Account settings,
Either
select account's entry, Change...
or

i dont have an outlook.com email, so i'll have to play around with it and get back to you. on 365, if you enable sms as an mfa option, you can then enable app password. if you only have the authenticator app as an mfa option, app password will not be an option. almost as though they tried to hide that option

dacrone,

Sorry, I misunderstood your earlier reference to Microsoft 365 email, I thought you meant an outlook.com email account.
Please don't go to any trouble. I have not found anybody who has succeeded and only asked you because of that misunderstanding.
[With GMail, I made some changes in the online account settings then merely used the app password in my Outlook 2007 instead of my email account password.]

Merry Christmas,
Denis

looks more straight forward than 365. just sign in to your Microsoft account (outlook.com), then go to:

My Microsoft Account (from your image in top right (drop down))
Security on the left pane
Manage How I Sign In
Create New App Password (its below the "Ways to Prove Who You Are" category)

I cannot find them in the browser interface.
[they are not in the Outlook 2007 settings either]

It is so long since I experimented with this that I am just stumbling around trying to find things in the browser interface.
I have found the webpage from which I can get to Create a new app password but don't have the bit you just posted No wait, I've found that now.
But I cannot use those options [I do not want to have to take action every 5 mins when Outlook 2007 checks for new email] which is why I tried the app password method.

I do realise that my problem is caused by my wish to stick with Outlook 2007.
My SMTP encryption options, for example, are limited to
Types of encryption.webp
and I do not have the StartTLS MS say is required for email applications
OL2007 does not have SMTP STARTTLS.webp

So I'll just continue with the solution I worked out when the change happened - I forward all my outlook.com email to a GMail account and my Outlook 2007 works with a GMail app password without any significant problems.

Thanks for trying to help,
