Unfortunately there's a certain degree of naivity in that statement. It's the price of wanting to be on the internet and agreeing to the license terms (EULA) of the products that provide that access.It just doesn't seem right! Ok they are a bona fide company but nobody should spy on what I do on the internet!
why should Edge access it at all when I'm not even using Edge?
Because unless you're in Europe, Edge is an inseparable integral component/part of Windows .. if you're using Windows you're using Edge (tweaks, switches and fixes aside)
