This tutorial will show you how to turn on or off allowing Copilot to read and edit text in shared apps for your account in Windows 11.

Microsoft Copilot is an AI-powered digital assistant designed to help you with a range of tasks and activities.

Copilot Vision on Windows lets you share any browser or app window on your screen and talking about it with Copilot. Copilot can then help analyze, offer insights, or answer your questions, coaching you through it aloud. Copilot can hear your voice and respond like a friend in a conversation.

When Allow Copilot to read and edit text in apps is turned on, Copilot can read text content from apps you are sharing and suggest edits during screen sharing sessions.

Here's How:

1 Open the Copilot app on Windows 11.

2 Sign in to Copilot with your Microsoft account if you want to sync settings.

3 While in full view, click/tap on the Account button on the sidebar, and click/tap on Settings. (see screenshot below)

4 Click/tap on Preferences on the left side of Settings. (see screenshot below step 5)

5 Turn on (default) or off Allow Copilot to read and edit text in apps for what you want. (see screenshot below)
