This tutorial will show you how to turn on, off, or adjust the volume levels for Xbox controller navigation sounds for your account in Windows 11.
The Xbox app for Windows is where you can go to play and manage PC gaming content on your Windows device. Whether you’re an Xbox Game Pass member, or you’ve bought titles from the Microsoft Store, your games await in the app.
Starting with Xbox app version 2602.1001.5.0, your PC and handheld experience just got an audio update with navigation sounds while using a controller. You can enable these sounds or adjust the volume levels in the Xbox app.
Here's How:
1 Open the Xbox app.
2 Click/tap on the user Profile button, and click/tap on Settings. (see screenshot below)
3 Click/tap on Audio in the left pane of Settings. (see screenshot below)
4 Under Controller Navigation Sounds settings, check (on - default) or uncheck (off) Enable controller navigation sounds for what you want.
5 If you turned on (checked) Enable controller navigation sounds, then you can adjust the volume slider to the level you want.
6 You can now close Settings if you like.
That's it,
Shawn Brink
