The most efficient search software that I have found for windows, I was wondering if anyone else uses it and maybe found a way to integrate it into windows itself? Downloads - voidtools

Thanks

It is very well known to forum users. What do you mean by integrating into Windows? It runs well, in the background and has excellent filters.
To save on mouse miles, I move the filters to the left.

I remove the text input on my desktop because, quite frankly I find it redundant due to the one once you click the start button, but I'd love to find a way to make everything's input bar replace that one. But I guess that's a developer job for voidtools if they choose.

Just as an addition, if they like that one so much take a look at filelocator by mythicsoft https://www.mythicsoft.com/filelocatorlite/download/ it searches though the contents of whatever files you specify, especially useful for PDF's, research, studying etc, the difference is that it can search though multiple in specified folders and filter them.

I don't use it that often..., I'll put it in the right click menu for when needed...

I haven't added it to the context menu but it is in my taskbar, I think I'm just hoping for too much here.

There's an Everything Toolbar somewhere on GitHub, but, it's kinda wanky and doesn't work properly! 🤷‍♂️

Probably the simplest would be a Keyboard Shortcut.

Now that is really interesting, perhaps I'll have a look at the code and see if I can improve or customise it.. thanks

I've been using the Everything and the Toolbar for a while now with no issues. The Toolbar is currently up to 1.5.1.0

I've disabled Windows Search and use Everything for all my searching, including for files on my NAS (I needed to add my NAS drives to Everything via TOOLS -- OPTIONS -- INDEXES -- FOLDERS, but once it's done and they're scanned, it works great).

I use it on Windows 10 and have it parked at the bottom of my Start Menu. Works real fast, unlike the clunky native search.

Haven't tried it with Windows 11 yet, but it looks likely.
