Solved explorer.exe error

Does it matter ?? I will post the serial if you want but will it help ??

I just wanted to look it up to see if it’s upgradable. But you can look it up yourself.

Also, apparently:
  1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
  2. Go to Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Controllers & headsets.
  3. Select “” under the controller that you want to update.
  4. If the first button says No update available, your controller’s firmware is current. If it says Update, select the button, and then follow the steps that are provided.

I opened the Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers and checked controller properties for an update but it was grey out

Not sure.

My son is sleeping, he as 6 of these retched controllers. I was hoping to ask him.

Look up your model, when you find it, if you learn anything or even if your don't, let us know I like to check if there are related issues.
But like dacrone said, updates generally cause the GameInput issue going by related posts.

The controller is 14 years old. Who knows if it’s related.

I had download the xbox accessories app in the past, but it supports only the xbox one and series s/x controller, not the 360

OK, yes, the Xbox 360 controllers don't have updatable firmwares like Xbox One and Series controllers do.

I hadn’t seen you mention it was a 360, sorry.
