This tutorial will show you how to find the current Microsoft Defender Antivirus security intelligence signature version in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Microsoft Defender Antivirus is an antivirus software that is included in Windows 11 and can help protect your device from viruses, malware, and other threats.
Microsoft continually updates security intelligence in antimalware products to cover the latest threats and to constantly tweak detection logic, enhancing the ability of Microsoft Defender Antivirus and other Microsoft antimalware solutions to accurately identify threats. This security intelligence works directly with cloud-based protection to deliver fast and powerful AI-enhanced, next-generation protection.
To help ensure your antimalware solution detects the latest threats, they get updates automatically as part of Windows Update at least once a day.
Knowing your current Microsoft Defender Antivirus security intelligence signature version can help you make sure you have the latest version, a version a threat is identified by, or a version a false positive has been corrected by.
