Solved Folders Added to Start>Program Folder Do Not Show Up In Start Menu

Windows 11 Prov Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.4890)

Below is a picture of the Start Menu on the left and the directory tree of this on the right.

On the right you can see that I added folders "RJS Programs" and "RJS Sys Utilities" to the Start>Programs folder, both folders show in the Start Menu on the left.

However added folder "RJS Games" does not show up the the Start Menu. In the "Elite Dangerous Launcher" folder there is a short cut for Elite so there is a shortcut in the "RJS Games" folder, this folder is not empty.

The PC has been shut down and started more than a couple of times since the folder was added, but it still does not display. Does anyone have any idea why?

I also added a new folder in Start>Programs as a test and the new folder would not show up either.

Not sure why it isn’t showing where you have put it though.

The Shortcut will be listed under 'E'.
If you want the folder to show, you need to add another executable to the folder.

Don't know why, but now the folder is there and the shortcuts are in the start menu in the folder. Marking as solved.

Restarting Explorer exe also sometimes kicks it into gear.
