V2 log file on my personal GDrive

An Intel file with system description attached

I wish I had more to report, but the BSoD occurs for my wife frequently when she's working hard and has a lot of things open. The few times it's hjappened to me have been when I was logging out of my MS account or rebooting the computer.

tyia for whatever insights you can provide.

Did steps 2 and 3. SET made it through eight passes with nary a BSoD in sight... which surprised me.

Plan to run WDV with various customized test settings:

a) Test all non-Microsoft drivers

b) Test no Microsoft drivers

c) For the first run of WDV select the 3 customized tests displayed in the TF tutorial

5) Whenever the WDV tool is started if there is no immediate BSOD then open administrative command prompt and copy and paste:

verifier /querysettings

Post a share link.

WDV can run continuously during the testing.

Customized tests will then be posted for the next run of WDV.

For any BSOD post a new V2 share link into the newest post.

Update: I started playing with Verifier. A brand new tool for me. Ran procedure (a) on a stable computer and the BSoD appeared immediately. I can see that there's a lot of work to be done in this stage. A bit of foreshadowing, please... is the goal here to identify one driver that is the bad actor and then to replace it?

WDV is a tool that stresses drivers.

If there is a crash a dump file may be created.

If a dump is created it may be possible to debug the file.

If a misbehaving driver is identified the driver is uninstalled or uninstalled and reinstalled.

The process is repeated to check for additional misbehaving drivers

If a misbehaving driver is identified the driver is uninstalled or uninstalled and reinstalled.

I will follow your directions, but before that... the BSoD I mentioned in post #9 is shown below. The cause of the failure is listed as ntoskml.exe, which I believe is a driver. Might this be a shortcut to identifying bad actors?
