Geforce RTX 2060 causes a reboot that lasts 50 minutes!

Hello everyone! I think I'm going literally crazy: for some time now, I have had a problem that is completely unsolvable.

I have a PC with an Asus Prime Z490A MoBo, 128 GB RAM, SSD M2 Samsung 970 EVO Plus and, of course, a Geforze RTX 2060. You understand that it is certainly not a low-performance PC. Yet, I cannot even remotely allow myself to restart the PC, because if I restart it, it takes about 50 MINUTES for the operating system to start.

I'm not going to say that for months, if not years, I have been trying every type of solution: FastBoot disabled, Bios updated, no additional disk inserted, Drivers updated, Operating System updated. Everything, I have done and tried everything.

However, analyzing my Bootlog file, I notice several errors of the type BOOTLOG_NOT_LOADED \SystemRoot\System32\drivers\dxgkrnl.sys and, thinking about it, I can't say when the problem appeared, but it is now clear that it is a problem related, in fact, to the video card drivers, since, in my endless searches on the web, it would seem that other users are in the same situation as me.

Now, I don't know where to turn anymore: Microsoft says that it is not a Windows problem but a Video Card problem, and I don't know if, in fact, the drivers can affect it. Obviously, I have already uninstalled the drivers, cleaned them, reinstalled, with no results. The video card works, I don't think it is damaged, but I don't know what to think anymore.

At this point, give me an idea, please. I would like to scream knowing that I spent about 2000 Euros, years ago, for this PC that is, really, a bomb, but I can't restart the PC otherwise I have to wait an hour!

I also analyzed the boot with WPA, obtaining, more or less, the same results.

Please, tell me what I can do because I'm going crazy! Thank you!

Your motherboard has what Asus calls Q-LED. The colored LEDs show the state of the system during boot. CPU (red), DRAM (yellow), GPU (white), boot device (yellow-green). That's the sequence in which the colors are displayed.

How long does each step take?

Have you ever cleared the CMOS?

    …still on a horse.
A friend of mine had this issue last year and we thought it was the graphics card, too. It turned out to be a failing boot disk. The computer would grind for about 20 minutes and then finally boot.

If you can, try the suggestion by @antspants and see what happens. Also, run CrystalDiskInfo and check the health of your drives.

Consider that the only disk connected is a Samsung 990 PRO M2 SSD (I wrote 970 by mistake) that is about a week old, since with the previous disk, a 970 Evo Plus, this problem was created. In any case, I checked to be sure and, clearly, both in the previous disk and in the current one, there is no problem!

I need to make a further clarification: observing better, I noticed that, during the infinite reboot, the green LED lights up only for a few moments, but, in reality, it turns off shortly after and then remains completely off for the entire duration of the reboot, about 50 minutes!

Have you re-seated the ram? Try with 1 stick!, Do you have any other Hard disks attached to your Motherboard?

A couple of weeks ago I had to a friends house to diagnose a problem. Result was to remove a Samsung SSD which had died causing endless boots, Windows event viewer was full of "disk" messages.

Yes: I have already tried to change the positioning of the RAM, I have tried to test them and also tried one by one without result. No other disk inserted and, to be safe, a new disk mounted less than two weeks ago with the same result as the previous one!
