I bought 2 of these from Amazon with 2 Crucial 1 TB M2 storage sticks on a special offer on Amazon Prime for € 70 the lot.
Nice and small, work brilliantly if you haven't heard about these devices, and even on USB-C they can outperform a classical 2.5 inch standard SSD with USB>SATA adapter.
I like this model because it's dual protocol so you can fit almost any sort of card into it and allows up to 8TB.
GiGimundo Dual Protocol M.2 SSD Enclosure - 10Gbps NVMe, 6Gbps NGFF SATA, UASP TRIM, Slim Aluminum - Tool-Free 8TB M2 Caddy - USB to Type-C Adapter - Grey, Fits 2280/2260/2242/2230
Streamlined Dual M.2 Protocol - A single bay that supports two protocols not only accommodates NVMe solid state drives with B key or B+M key, but also NGFF SATA with B+M key SSDs.
But they do get quite warm after lengthy continual use so don't keep it enclosed in a hot place.

Anybody else using these -- Temp seems to get after prolonged use to around 40 deg C - so how that effects the durabilty of the card inside -- no idea. Anyway cheap enough for testing - certainly performance is great. I might try a WindowstoGo on it for a few days --that should give it a proper stress test. !!
Cheers
