Personally, I don’t sit around watching random videos that play one after another. If I have to use YouTube at all, it’s because there is something I need or want to see, so I’ll wait for as long as it takes. If people count the seconds before something starts, they have too much time on their hands. 99.99999999% of people wouldn’t know if it was by design or lag. And the ones that do… again, have a lot of time on their hands in my opinion. Also, this would probably upset advertisers so I call BS on all of it. …Reddit lol

@antspants Quite the opposite! Maybe I have free time, but I never spend my free time watching random videos on YouTube, I have never done it yet! I have a list of channels, and I usually watch the first 10 seconds of their videos to check out their introduction. It's an unwritten rule on YouTube that if you have a channel, you should include a 15-second introduction to give an idea of what your video is about or to show the content that you'll cover in the video. It's just like the first 3 seconds rule of advertisements!

Even though I completely mistrust google, I highly suspect that google would sabotage other browsers.
And reddit, well that's one site I never bother to read due to low level quality of posts, often time people come post to redit to denigrate other entities.

I'm using MS Edge and Youtube is working just fine for me, as fast as every other site.

I usually just skip over the introduction part of videos. The video title, the thumbnail and the description text that appears below the video should be way more than enough to find out what the video is about, so... here's a Runn Tum Tuber for ya.

Firstly, I hate Google and everything they have, with a passion. I wouldn’t trust them even if they all had halo’s. But why would they risk millions of dollars in court or class action lawsuits and a spar with the Anti-trust councils? I know these tech companies take risks in trying to outdo each other, but Google makes billions in advertising sales and user revenue. Why would they mess with something that is now designed for the purpose to show ads and risk advertiser backlash???

99% of video thumbnails are clickbait and have nothing to do anything with the video content. 99% of titles can't explain the whole video in just 5 to 10 words! 99% of descriptions (below the video) are just the video (content) creator's social links, and they never describe what's going on in the video to push you to watch the video. 99.99% of videos show their content quality in the first 15 seconds :sleepy:

Never had issues with YT on Firefox. As far as the thumbnails go I just hover the mouse on it and it starts playing (it will play the whole video in that form) so I can judge if worth viewing or not in a few seconds.

Jokes aside! I love Reddit because it's the jungle, but I have found some treasure there! It's 50-50, not an absolute garbage and not an absolute treasure.
BTW, this week, they renewed their brand identity. I love the new font family, and the new 3d mascot and its posings. The colour code is untouched :thumbsup:
