Hardware Acceleration setting, where can this be found on Windows 11 22000.100?

Yes, that was the reason I never advised you adding the registry key because it is uncertain what would happen if you added the key if you drivers did not support it, last thing I want is for you to have a messed up system and have to start from scratch because of it. As saying AMD is a bit generic without knowing exactly what specific model of the GPU you have to even know if it is on the compatibility list or not.

As I posted, my specs are in "My Computer" (System 1). In case you are unable to click on that, my graphics card is a Radeon RX 6900XT. That's a fairly recent model. The motherboard is an Asus Tuf X570 Gaming Plus (non-WiFi). The CPU is a Ryzen 9 5950X.

I'm unaware of a published Win11 graphics card compatibility list. (Unlike the CPU lists.) If you know of one, I'd appreciate a link.

Sorry, forgot to check there. Are you getting the Hardware Acceleration option on Win 10 or is it just Win 11 that's a issue?

There is supposedly a AMD Display Driver (30.0.13000.22008) that is actually Windows 11 ready and comes with the WDDM v3.0 update that some people got via Windows Update.

I'm not dual booting. Haven't looked on my second system (nVidia RTX 2080 Super card), which is still on 10.

I finally bit the bullet (to coin a phrase), uninstalled my Radeon drivers, and saw what Windows Update offered.

What I got was a driver from January last. (27.20.14501.28009) Not 30.xx. Also, no Adrenaline control package.

Maybe it matters that I'm not an Insider. I'm also not Italian. ;)

Back to 21.7.2 (aka 27.20.22021.1002).

I've seen posts suggesting that the control software that is available from the Microsoft Store will work with the 30.0.13000.22008 drivers.

I'll remember that, if I'm ever offered such drivers.

I tried the 30.0.13001.3012 drivers. Nothing much to report.

The Microsoft Store Radeon app is much more limited than the one that comes with a full AMD package, but it works.

Later: decided to revert, just to get that full-service Radeon software. I have had no issues with the latest Win10 drivers, and will await a complete wddm 3.0 package. Or not.:censored:
