Here is a problem (for me) and most annoying.

To inspect the software, I have installed and created a backup image with Hasleo backup version 4

After installing Hasleo, booting has been a normal process. There have been many boots without the following issue:

Since testing the recovery media (USB) for the sake of seeing if my PC booted to the HASLEO USB Emergency disk (no recovery attempted), after rebooting (with or without the USB media connected) I am confronted with the following screen on boot.

For the love of Odin, how do I disable this?

Entering more options has no option to disable this boot menu, just change the time it displays. Choosing Windows 11 in more options as the default OS, makes no difference.

To prove I am totally honest. I actually caused this myself. I now recall looking at that icon thinking "now for something completely stupid, click that icon" I assumed it would add a boot menu to the USB.

Thank you again, this fixed my problem. I am as I said, most grateful, Anibor_11 🙏
Macrium does the same. TBH I regard it as a useful addition, not a problem at all - I add it to the boot menu of all my machines

It’s was more a shocking surprise than a problem I suppose. I see its usefulness. I should be more careful.

Bree, so when you add the boot menu, does it install the whole kit or is the USB Boot Media still needed?

Thanks, Scott. Maybe I’ll leave it on then. There was a 3 second display option I believe, which is fine. Then I assume it will just boot to Windows (Default option) 🙏

@antspants . This seems to work the same as Reflect. The add Boot Menu option is shown when you create Rescue Media. After the boot menu had been created the "Add Boot Menu" changes to "Remove Boot Menu". As others have said, it's a useful option and we have added it to all our machines. Mitch.

Cool. You can set the timeout to whatever you want.

Cheers for that. In the Hasleo boot menu at boot, there was an option I think, for 3, 5, 10, 30 seconds. I suppose it would be the same as your screenshot except yours is via windows that allows random values. Much appreciated, Scott.

This is in fact, in all my time computing, something I have never looked at. Thanks all 🙏

    …still on a horse.
There was a 3 second display option I believe, which is fine. Then I assume it will just boot to Windows (Default option) 🙏

I multi-boot, so I'm used to seeing the boot menu. Yes, the default OS is always at the top of the list and will boot if you do nothing. If you want to boot it straight away just hit the Enter key.

I leave mine set at the default of 10 seconds. If I want to select another OS, then I can either just click on it, or select it using the Tab or arrow keys before I hit Enter.

When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update.
