Hello all,

Recwived a new laptop this morning and I was in the process of uninstalling the bloatware when Microsoft 365 decided to just keep the uninstalling pop up going and going and going and not finishing its job. I left it for two hours and came back to it and still it wasn't finished.

Can anyone advise me on how to uninstall this, or what the issue might be? I am not an expert but I am not an amateur computer user either. I know my way around a machine fairly well and can follow instructiins but if any of you out there have any advice for an old woman at the end of her teather, I would be very grateful for it.

I have attached a photo. What I want to uninstall, but won't uninstall, is all the stuff with the copilot logo beside it.

Thank you.

Also, apart from Freebooters method. Quite a few members in here will advocate Revo Uninstaller Free version. Choose your software or Microsoft app and remove it, don’t forget to ask it to clean up leftovers.

Also great for debloating.

P.S. The Microsoft 365 stuff you mention is available to remove in Revo also.

Sorry folks. Problem solved! It was just taking its sweet time because out interner at home went wonky and the router had to be restarted. Once back online properly, it eventually unimstalled.

Just do a clean install and then install what you want. Download your network driver first for your model before wiping it

Hello again!

For anyone else who may need it, I found a piece of software similar to Revo - thanks for pointing me in the direction of that, I never knew it existed - called O&OAppBuster and I found that that one, for me personally, worked better. Although I found rhat when you are wanting to remove only the 365 stuff, when you remove one bit of it, you need to restart your pc before you can remove the next part, and so on. Soumds more faffy than it is though.

Not sure that it can remove as much as Revo, But I haven’t tried it since a couple of years ago. Maybe it’s changed. As long as it does what you need it to, all good Sarah :-) (y) 🙏
