how do i fix this sync error

hi I purchased a brand new pc . When there was a little bit time difference, I manually changed the time.
I tried to sync time.windows.com but got failed messages
i just gone to windows time services, the set up was manual and I changed that to automatic and again tried sync.
But again I got failed sync alert in yellow.
It shows, that last synced was in 2015. what does that mean and how to fix this error
I am not able to upload the file as a jpeg file, it shows 7800 kb size
why

How about we take a step back. What are you trying to sync? You mention time, but then also files?

The Windows Time service should be on Manual trigger since it gets triggered by an event.

Check that your have the time zone set correctly. Almost all new ones come set as Pacific time by default. Under settings- time and language- date&time, Toggle off 'set time zone automatically' and right above it, click the drop arrow next to 'time zone' and select what is correct for you. Then see if you clock will sync.

@jraju Your pic shows you might have no network connectivity. If so then that might be a cause of your problem. Can you browse online?

Yes I can browse and my network connection is fine. why it shows sync date as 2015. It is 7 years back.

Manually set your time zone, then manually set the time as close as you can get it, then set time back to automatic and try to sync again.

As long as you have your time zone correct then you could try these.
Open a command window with admin authority or a Terminal window with admin authority. You can do this by the Win key + X menu.
then issue the following commands, waiting for each to complete.

Code:

net stop w32time
w32tm /unregister
w32tm /register
net start w32time
w32tm /resync

When finished try syncing again.

I tried all those tricks. It was a new machine and my machine showed that it synced last time way back to 2015. This machine is a new model not available then. My hdd and software is grand new 11 and how it shows the date 2015 is weird

You could try this one. It will take a while depending on how fast your machine is. It might fix any corrupt windows files.

Jumping ahead here but if the SFC /scannow doesn't help there is a stand alone program that might work for you.
Go here NIST Internet Time Service (ITS) and down the bottom of the page there is a section headed Setting your computer clock using a downloaded program
There is a link there to download a program that might set your time.

If you are at this point then there is one other thing you could do. That is do a clean install of Windows. You could also wait to see if any one else has any ideas.

Would some one say how my sync was last done with time.windows.com in the year 2015 . The generic os would have been installed in this year only, the year of manufacturer but time was last synced 7 years back

One thing to check is the state of the CMOS battery that is on the motherboard, the battery being exhausted or low, [sometimes they fail intermittently], can cause the system clock to reset to the base clock time in the OS.

The base time is set in the OS during development and may be originally set in the Windows 10 code, [or any major update since], as a lot of the old code remains in Windows 11.

I could not sync with any other server as well
This is weird and really a bug.
Showing 2015 on a 2022 manufacture system puzzles me.
Even default time.nist.com does not sync

The first line in your post states "I purchased a brand new pc". If this was a recent purchase, you could/should contact the source and have them resolve the problem or replace the system. Most retail outlets have a service or return policy that should cover your issue.

You are talking about policies in the USA. The OP is from a time zone of +5.5 or close to that and those areas may not have the same consumer protections.
