I went to Privacy and Security - I don't see a place to add those sites for retaining cookies. I.e... this site - I cleaned out all cookies yesterday and today I had to sign in to this site. I would like to avoid all the sign-ins -- thanks.

@Patsy1011

Also you have to add exclusions in CCleaner... if you use it.
Well, you need to move the cookies you want to keep, to the right side.

Nope.

Also, CCleaner can protect cookies from deletion but only from deletion by CCleaner (drag or copy them to the right of the cookie section in CCleaner settings)

CCleaner > Options > Cookies, then click on Cookies to Save.

You can also tell CCleaner not to delete ALL cookies in the cleaner settings.

But neither of those have any control over how Chrome behaves

You’ll need to find an add-on for chrome to protect cookies in the actual browser

Huh - a friend who uses Edge was able to do it while on Eleven. I guess that's the difference, eh?

OK - but OS is eleven-then getting to those Edge settings -- or am I nutz?:-).
I thought there was a way in Chrome to indicate "delete cookes afthter shutdown. That's what was chosen and then she was able to indicate which NOT to delete. What good is CC - I did the "cookies to keep" notation - went to Chrome and said delete cookies and voila! All cookies as in this one and all I said to keep were gone...so no way in chrome to do what she did. Sheesh...Thanks for your help btw...

You get to the Edge settings from within Edge, not through Windows 11.

Edge is not Windows 11, it just works in Windows Eleven

Correct. You should only use CCleaner to delete cookies if you want to kee the ones on its whitelist. Deleting them in your browser (Chrome or whatever) will still clear all of them. BTW, CCleaner can delete cookies across all your browsers in one go, not just Chrome, Edge, or (in my case) Firefox.

OK...I guess it just works in Eleven -- is what my thoughts were. Thanks.
BTW, CCleaner can delete cookies across all your browsers in one go, not just Chrome, Edge, or (in my case) Firefox. OK -how???

Have you used ccleaner? You set it up to clean what you want it to, then run the cleaner.

This cookie addon allows you to whitelist (protect) cookies from deletion in chrome, but might not protect them if you clean cookies with CCleaner.

I use CCleaner sometimes.
I have a Firefox Cookie manager to protect certain cookies.

CCleaner will delete cookies if I whitelist them or not, it doesn’t ask my browser if thats OK.
So I uncheck cleaning Cookies in CCleaner
I let it clean everything else (History etc)

Using a cookie manager addon in Chrome to whitelist certain cookies, should exclude them from being deleted when/if chrome cleans cookies.
I don’t use Chrome, I use Firefox. I know nothing about Chrome.
This is how my cookie manager behaves in Firefox, it protects cookies that I have whitelisted when Firefox settings is set to clean cookies on exit.

I couldn’t tell you how chrome will behave.

But I suspect that link to explain Chrome cookies could be helpful.
