OS
win10 64 bit 20h2 ver. now it is 22h2
i think i had a thread on this one time but i can't seem to find it if i did. anyway i have a laptop and a 24" monitor. i use the monitor and have the laptop screen turned off. anyway i do not have the chrome browser at the full screen and i have the radar app running in the lower right side and i have a window open with text document type tabs open in the upper right side so i can make entries now and then. i use win11 pro 24h2

now the issue is when i turn on the pc in the morning that smaller window seems to alway start up now at the left of the screen someplace? upper left or left middle and now and then left lower and then gets hidden under the browser window. if i recall in win10 it always opened in the right of the screen all windows and i had a time getting the browser to open over on the left side

i have closed that window while it is in the spot i want it and it still opens in a different place than where i want it. now and then the radar app also opens over to the right side but if i get the text window to open in the upper right side then maybe i can get the radar app to open in the lower right side

ok so i clicked on the x about 4 more times and now that notepad window seems to return to the upper right side of the screen, but i bet tomorrow it will move to the left again. i do have that notepad icon locked to the taskbar so i wonder if that may be the reason. i may have to actually close that and then go back and grab the 4 texts files again and have them populate that window and then lock the icon again to the taskbar.

This is a bit of headache material and no guaranteed solution. Look at page 10(last page).
