I am not going to upgrade to Windows 11 until it is released to the public. I just read that they were listening to the feedback to a lot of their customers, and they were adjusting the requirements for more processors. But TPM 2.0 is still a requirement, and I still can't find an option in my UEFI BIOS to enable it.

I'm going to run it on my Backup system as soon as I can get an ISO file for a clean install.

I thought about joining the Insiders on the Backup to get it, but I don't want overwrite the Win 10 drive, so being I also have a couple of blank drives in it, I can use one of those as the Win 11 OS drive for the system :)

Quick question, as I haven't been able to read the entire thread:

When trying to download the Github tool, Microsoft Defender SmartScreen marks it unsafe and does not allow to download it....
Anyone else having this problem?

You could tell MS defender to allow it, just a suggestion. I have no problems downloading it here.

Only thing I can think of, is defender does not recognize that file, so it blocks it. That file IS safe as lots of folks have run it.

We can discuss TPM 2.0, UEFI, Secure Boot, etc. until the birds come to roost.
But if the computer's CPU is older than 8th generation, it's doubtful that Windows 11 will install.

@flavallee the Windows 11 update should have no issues installing on my Laptop. It is less than a year old. Microsoft has severely bumped their heads with this one. Any computer that came with Windows 10 out of the box as mine did, should indeed run Windows 11.
