How to update Windows OS build 22631 to 26100?

my currently laptop is Windows OS build 22631. Do you know how to update to OS build 26100?
My laptop is ROG Zephyrus G14 2021

Welcome to Eleven Forum.

24H2 was publicly released on 1st October. The rollout will be gradual, only a few PC's will see Windows Update offer the 24H2 Feature Update straight away.

If you cannot wait then you have several option to manually upgrade today. Go to Download Windows 11 then....

  • Use the Windows Installation Assistant
  • Download the Media Creation Tool, run it to make an ISO
  • Download the ISO direct from Microsoft
To upgrade using an ISO, mount it and run Setup to start an in-place upgrade.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro (and all my Hyper-V VMs).

    My SYSTEM FOUR is a 2-in-1 convertible Lenovo Yoga 11e 20DA, Celeron N2930, 8GB RAM, 256GB ssd. Unsupported device: currently running Win10 Pro, plus Win11 Pro RTM and Insider Dev, Beta, and RP 24H2 as native boot vhdx.

    My SYSTEM FIVE is a Dell Latitude 3190 2-in-1, Pentium Silver N5030, 8GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro, plus the Insider Beta, Dev, Canary, and Release Preview builds as a native boot .vhdx.

Did you get it offered in Windows Update? (If so, you'd be the first I know of.) Or use one of the other methods?

Weird, today W.U. just downloaded 24H2 on my public build 23H2 22631.4317 without asking me.
It was just waiting for restart, which I did, but the update failed and reverted back to 23H2. 😜🤬
The error in update history shows 0xc1900101, no subcode showing.
Reliability Monitor shows this, no subcode there either.

Now I turned off this option, hopefully it will not try again.
I will upgrade with ISO when they clean up the outstanding problems of 24H2.
Still unresolved problems on insider, I don't want to screw up also my working system. I'll do a backup before trying again. 😵‍💫🤐😝🤬

I did the upgrade using the MCT ISO 26100.1742 offline and everything completed without the 0xc1900101 error.

Up with 24H2 on my public build system. Now if I let it do the next two updates it will screw it up with the SFC problem and the leftover 8.63 GB of "Windows Update Cleanup". 🤐😝🤬

Even with this setting off, W.U. on public build still updated to 26100.2033 which has the known bugs,
Weird that they are not updating public build to 26100.2152 yet. At least that would fix the SFC /SCANNOW bug.
I wonder how long it will take MS to clean up the remaining bugs for the general public.
